Food uptake studies

A significant amount of our zinc isotopes are used in researching the diet of children living in poor and underdeveloped areas.

Material research

One of our products is low-activating Tungsten for environments with high neutron fluxes, such as fission and fusion reactors. Materials used in these nuclear environments face intense neutron fluxes, decreasing their lifetime. By altering the isotopic composition, the cross-section for neutron capture can be significantly reduced, leading to lower activation, reduced radioactive waste and increased material lifetime.

Nuclear physics

Our stable isotopes play a vital role in nuclear physics research, including the creation of super-heavy elements. Enriched Zinc70 and Titanium50 are extensively used for this research. Enriched stable isotopes are also utilised in neutrino research, where various isotopes are incorporated into detectors investigating neutrino characteristics.
